HOW IMPORTANT IS THE WAY THE ARTIST "LOOK"?

To become to be, you must first look like.

The objective of the Industry, whether large or small… is to sell.

And if your goal is to market your Art, you should also work on your artistic look.

The look is and will always be one of the most important factors to sell within the Art Industry, since it identifies you with a socio-economic sector and distinguishes you from the rest.

So a well-crafted look is equal to better and greater opportunities.

I am not referring to how we dress when we work… because there we are all the same, and we dress as comfortable as possible to create.

I mean how we dress when we exhibit, when we sell… when we are in our life role as Artist.

Have you ever wondered why most successful Artists have or had an intellectual, sophisticated, mysterious, or even extravagant look?

Because all of them, when we see them, give us a feeling of being "special", "different"? Maybe because that's how they look, don't you think?

Most of us, as artists, believe that Art and Design are just a means to express ourselves and that this goes hand in hand with a casual and somewhat “groove” look, so woven bracelets, hippie vests, the colored berets and the "sling shoulder bags” are part of an essential look to be able to proclaim ourselves as: “Artists”.

But… think about Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso or inclusive Frida Khalo, meeting in one of his famous Social gatherings… their image was strong, imposing, shall we say… very sophisticated.

While, most of us "avoid" these social gatherings, because "they are not our thing", and because we was born with a kind of aberration for wealthy social groups, when they really are the real goal to achieve, because, It's fair with them where our art can truly be seen well paid.

So, think about it, and discover if your image is the right one to achieve success...

or maybe not.

Let me know what you think.

Your opinion is really valued to be able to reach important conclusions.
